Rafael Arroyo Martínez, Awarded the Best Novel Chef of the year

During the framework of Andalusia Flavour, the finale of the conventions honoured the Best Novel Chef of the Year, in which six young finalists participated, all of whom aspired to find a place in the hotel sector and delight the palates of those that wanted to taste the recipes that occupy their minds. Flavourful dishes full of illusion, exactly what the chefs have.

For more than one and a half hours, these young promising chefs of Andalusian cuisine had to create a series of dishes using at least one of the ingredients that they required. Among them they stressed the cured hams of La Vieja Fábrica (The Old Factory), Doray honey, Usisa salts or Indeco pâté (Iberian goose from La Dehesa).

The nervousness was apparent the whole time since only one of the young aspiring cooks could become the victor. His name? Rafael Arroyo Martínez, a young man, thanks to this award, has achieved a great “push” to fight the culinary world, and of course, to grow professionally.
